Implementing All Youth Are Sacred as a narrative strategy through:

  • Systems impacted youth leadership development and organizing

Through the Community Safety Through Youth Power fellowship, we are establishing a pipeline of narrative organizers to amplify their communities' unique stories and engage their communities in envisioning a future where youth are embraced as sacred.  Narrative organizers connect AYAS to local initiatives to build momentum towards systems shifts and pave the way toward an AYAS future. Youth who are trained through our fellowship become narrative organizers.

  • Bridging art, organizing, and policy

Intentional partnerships with local artists illustrate what is possible when youth investments are deepened. Capturing the alternatives to incarceration--our communities seek a liberatory future where all youth are seen as sacred and have a village response that embraces them when they make a mistake.

  • Healing through storytelling

Healing takes place when we empower youth and our communities to share their stories. Through collective healing and story-telling, we strengthen community relationships and instill a culture of healing. Our stories create connections that are fundamental to organizing and building movement power.
